The beginnings...

In the early 70's, Provasi opened a small workshop in the Milan hinterland, where he produced frame mouldings for the local framers. Through the years, his shop grew and evolved, listening to the needs of an ever-changing market and using the technologies available to artisans.

Plexast Wood, wood carving

That's how Plexast Wood started out: specialized in wood carving, this company combines the artisan experience with the industrial development and the new technologies.

Plexast Wood broadens the production of wooden items and complement furnishing, from frame mouldings to finished frames, from the framed mirrors to the handcrafted wooden picture frames. Natural raw materials carved by skilful artisans, certified nontoxic wood stains, classic or modern designs characterize each and every creation of the company, a bright example of the Made in Italy throughout the world.

Provasi Luca frames, nowadays

In 1995, to monitor the whole wood production cycle, from raw material to end product, Plexast Wood acquired a sawmill, becoming Provasi Luca frames - a 2,000 mq firm.

The frame is not a simple edge, but an integral part of the artwork.
It's essential, as without this humble component we can't understand where the Art ends, and where the real world begins.
